Capurro works across a range of media including drawing, photography, print, video, and installation. Incarnations of 'The erasure projects’ have occupied much of the past decade. He received a Samstag Scholarship in 2011 and was curated into the 2007 Venice Biennale and NEW07, ACCA. He has held solo exhibitions at Artspace, Sydney (2010) and Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces (2004). He exhibited in Mirror Mirror: Then and Now, IMA, Brisbane (2009), Erased: Contemporary Australian Drawing, Art Gallery of New South Wales / Asialink, touring Singapore & Thailand and Leave No Trace: Ridges, Troughs & Phantom Limbs, International Studio & Curatorial Program, New York (2009). During 2012 he is the International Artist-in-Residence at Escola Maumaus, Lisbon.
